Midsummer Madness
This Saturday coming - 21 June - is the northern hemisphere's summer solstice, which means it's the shortest night of the year: midsummer night! It also means it's the night of the annual Fête de la Musique, a recent tradition that was started in France but spreads a little further through Europe each year.
Sounds abound
Sounds of live music will ring out from the streets and squares, restaurants and bars all across France, with free concerts being performed wherever musicians and instruments can be gathered together.
But that's not all. As the long evenings grow warmer you'll find a wealth of festivals and concerts all around the region. You can browse the AngloINFO What's On Guide to see what's happening near you.
