Guided Visits of the Cathedral of Coutances
Every Tue
Guided visit in English. The cathedral of Coutances is, besides the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most commanding examples of Gothic architecture in Normandy. Started in the early years of the 13th century, the cathedral is built on foundations of a Norman cathedral dating from the 11th century. Guided visits of the Romanesque parts also include special access to the upper galleries, the lantern-tower and to the gothic glass roof in order to view the various phases of the building. Please note that for safety reasons, children under 10 are not allowed on the visit. Every Tuesday. Visits starts at 11:45. Tickets on sale at Coutances Tourist Office.
