Guided visit in English. The cathedral of Coutances is, besides the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most commanding examples of Gothic architecture in Normandy. Started in the early years of the 13th century, the cathedral is built on foundations of a Norman cathedral dating from the 11th century. Guided visits of the Romanesque parts also include special access to the upper galleries, the lantern-tower and to the gothic glass roof in order to view the various phases of the building. For the third year running, the 17th century castle at Crosville-sur-Douve is getting dressed up for the festive season. The castle shop will be bursting with pretty decorations and great ideas for Christmas presents.

The Mont-St-Michel will be lit up with Christmas light every evening from 18:00.
